Cynthia
M. Goodman, M.D., is an accomplished
plastic surgeon who is board certified
by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
and practices in Marin County, California.
She is the past Chief of Plastic
Surgery both at Marin General Hospital
in Greenbrae and Novato Community Hospital.
Dr. Goodman was born and raised in
Sacramento where she graduated as valedictorian.
She completed her undergraduate studies
at the University of California at
Berkeley. Prior to beginning her medical
training, she received a fellowship
in Sacramento to work under the governor
in the Health and Welfare Agency. She
graduated from one of top plastic surgery
residency programs in the nation at
Baylor College of Medicine in Houston,
Texas.
Dr. Goodman has won many awards for
her research presentations at both
national and international conferences.
In 1994 she received the prestigious
Samuel Spira Award for excellence in
plastic surgery scholarship. She has
authored numerous articles in the major
plastic surgery journals on such topics
as breast implants, breast reduction,
breast reconstruction, and carpal tunnel
syndrome. She has also made numerous
television appearances including one
on facelifts.
Dr. Goodman belongs to a number of
prestigious medical and honor societies
including the American Society of Plastic
Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons (CSPS) and the California Medical
Association.
