Welcome to my brand new blog! As a practitioner within this wide-ranging world of plastic surgery and cosmetic miracles,  my goal is to not only inform you, but also give you enough information to help you make decisions about moving forward with a given procedure you may be facing or even contemplating. This is where I hope to enlighten you as to each and every procedure I do as well as offer some insight into the kinds of results you can expect.  I will discuss my own expertise and experiences along with featuring stories my clients are eager to tell as well.

But first a little about me. It was way back in middle school when I dreamed of combining my artistic ability with my love of science to help others have a better quality of life. Here is where I happily landed —  doing breast reconstructions, mommy make-overs, blepharoplasty and a number of other corrective and aesthetic procedures. Born and brought up in Sacramento, I completed my undergraduate studies at University of California at Berkeley.  I went on to graduate from medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where I entered one of top plastic surgery residency programs and became Chief Resident before returning to California.

Having been honored to receive a number of awards and recognitions, I was truly humbled by receiving the prestigious Samuel Spira Award for excellence in plastic surgery scholarship in 1994 while still at Baylor. Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2002, I have been helping my patients feel better about themselves ever since. While establishing a private practice in beautiful Marin County, CA, I served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Marin General Health (MGH) and Novato Community Hospital.  I have also authored numerous articles in the major plastic surgery journals and have made numerous television appearances talking about a host of medical procedures. You can read more about me here.

I believe in natural looking results, whether with surgery or cosmetic procedures. What sets my practice apart from a med spa is that all in-office procedures are done by me — not by a nurse practitioner or aesthetician. Everyone’s care is individualized according to their anatomy, natural aging issues, and the aesthetic results they hope to achieve. As a plastic surgeon, my goal is to make people feel more confident and beautiful.

Whether choosing a surgeon for a very sensitive and complex procedure or simply looking into a cosmetic treatment, I know it can be an overwhelming prospect. I offer in-depth one-on-one consultations providing custom surgical plans, while outlining what to expect from procedure to recovery. One thing I can promise: if you and I visit for a consultation, I will give you the facts, offering realistic expectations.

I invite you to study my work by not only reviewing some before-and-after photos on this site, but also making an appointment to stop by in person to see page upon page showing examples of my results. Surgery is a big decision, and I am here to answer your questions as well as offer you enough information to enable you to make a wise decision for yourself.

Beautifully yours,

~ Cynthia Goodman, MD
