Breast augmentation, or enlargement, is an operation done to enhance the appearance of small breasts. This procedure increases the size and improves the shape of the breasts especially in underdeveloped breasts, breasts that have decreased in size after pregnancy, or breasts that are uneven in volume.

Breast reduction surgery can alleviate the difficulties related to oversize breasts, specifically neck, shoulder, or back pain; the pain of bra straps digging into the shoulders; and limitations in physical activity. Breast reconstruction is a highly personal and individualized process that requires extensive consultation. For women who are considering a mastectomy, breast reconstruction restores a natural, symmetrical appearance to the chest and boosts self-confidence. A new breast, nipple, and areola complex are reconstructed to resemble the woman's natural breast as closely as possible in shape, size and position.

Over the years, factors such as pregnancy, nursing, weight loss and the force of gravity take their toll on a woman's breasts. As the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and firmness and begin to sag. A breast lift, or mastopexy, raises and reshapes sagging breasts. Breast lift surgery can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple.
